Meet the Copy Pimp

Roderick L. Harter

Rod Harter has 36 years of business and public relations experience. Rod currently devotes the majority of his time as a freelance copywriter for his business, MagicMan Marketing & Consulting, occasionally writing under the pseudo name “The Copy Pimp.”

Rod is a partner of Hurn Harter & Worrall, LLC, an international strategic marketing and consulting firm, based in Central Florida, with offices in Altamonte Springs and Kissimmee. This specialized marketing company works closely with both domestic and international business owners and entrepreneurs.

Rod grew up in Miami and attended Miami-Dade College and the University of Miami.

He began his career with Delta Air Lines in September 1, 1973. He accepted several positions of increased responsibility throughout his career, including 15 years of service at Delta’s World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rod retired from Delta November 30, 1998 with 25 years of marketing and public relations experience.

In addition to his present business ventures, Rod continues to work as a marketing/mortgage consultant with HomeTeam Equity, a Maitland, FL based Mortgage Company, with offices in Florida, Georgia and Texas.

Over his career, Rod has been active in various capacities with several professional organizations, including Toastmasters International, Orlando Convention & Visitors Bureau, and The Financial Planning Association of Florida.

In his leisure, Rod enjoys spending time with his daughter, Christina 27, and son Rod Jr., 23. He also has a passion for music and playing the guitar as well as an occasional round of golf with his buddies.
